Pastoral Care

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Pastoral Care Ministry provides the opportunity to serve those who are sick. Ministers often bring Holy Communion to those in the hospitals, nursing home and home bound. The goal of this ministry is to reach out to those that cannot join us for Mass and help them feel connected in some way to their parish family at Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish.

OLPH Pastoral Care consists of:

*Visiting and serving the Eucharist to patients at Northeast Methodist Hospital in
conjunction with St. Helena’s Parish. Ministers generally are scheduled in pairs
for one or two days per month
*Visiting and serving the Eucharist to the homebound on a weekly or bi-weekly
basis determined by the individual and the minister
*Visiting and serving the Eucharist to those who have short term illness or had a
*Visiting and serving the Eucharist to parishioners confined to nursing or
rehabilitation facilities.

Parishioners living at Autumn Wind Retirement Lodge, TureCare, Sodalis, and Live Oak
Rehabilitation Center are presently being visited on a weekly base.
If someone is seriously ill, it is important to contact the parish immediately.
