Baptism Class Information

The baptism class extends hospitality to the parents and godparents, encourages them to articulate their faith, and presents certain precepts and norms for a Christian family life. The classes also give the parents a view of the history and specifics of the sacrament of baptism. Our baptism classes are taught by one of our deacons.

A baptism class is required for parents, godparents and witnesses (if applicable) if a class has not been completed in the last five (5) years.

Baptism class may be completed at another parish, but a certificate or letter of completion from the parish where class was taken must be turned in.

Classes at OLPH are held the second (2nd) Monday of the month at 6:30pm with registration beginning at 6:00pm and will last approximately 1 ½ hours. Please see schedule below. The fee for the baptism class is $10 per child.

***CLASS DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE***

Child care is available in the Child Development Center (see map on back of page) beginning at 6:00pm for children 1 ½ years and older.

TO REGISTER FOR A BAPTISM CLASS PLEASE EMAIL jennifer@olph.org and include names of individuals attending, phone number and name of child.
