The Sacrament of Reconciliation offers us conversion, confession and celebration, a time to be forgiven and a time to forgive. The catechism of the Catholic Church states that “those who approach the sacrament of Reconciliation obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion (1422).”
Reconciliation is available at OLPH every Saturday at 4pm and by appointments. We also offer Penance Services for Advent and Lent.
First Reconciliation is celebrated in early February. Students in second (2nd) grade and above may receive the sacrament if they are enrolled in our parish religious education program or in the parish school.
